The All-Star draft results are in, and Trae Young will start for Team Giannis, joining Philadelphia’s Joel Embiid, Toronto’s Pascal Siakam and Boston’s Kemba Walker in the All-Star game Feb. 16, which will take place at the United Center in Chicago.
They’ll face Team LeBron, which includes the Lakers’ Anthony Davis, the Clippers’ Kawhi Leonard, Dallas’ Luka Doncic and Houston’s James Harden.
Team captains Giannis Antetokounmpo of Milwaukee and LeBron James of the Lakers took turns selecting players, with James selecting teammate Davis first. Young was selected eighth, the final slot of all the starters. Although captains were able to draft their team regardless of conference affiliation, Team Giannis’ starters are all from the East and Team LeBron’s starters are all from the West.
