The Hawks plan to sign shooting guard B.J. Johnson to a 10-day contract this week, according to several people familiar with the situation.

The Hawks have a roster spot available. They signed Jordan Sibert to a 10-day contract last week and converted the two-way contract of Jaylen Adams earlier this month. Sibert’s 10-day contract expires on March 1.

The 6-foot-7 Johnson, 23, is playing with the Lakeland Magic of the NBA G League. In 37 games this season, he has averaged 14.8 points, 5.2 rebounds and 1.4 assists in 30 minutes. He is shooting 43 percent from 3-point range.

Johnson went undrafted out of LaSalle University last year. He also played two seasons at Syracuse before transferring to LaSalle. He went to summer league with the Hornets and training camp with the Magic, who waived him and assigned him to their G League affiliate.
