Tiago Splitter will get a second opinion on his ailing right hip that will cost him the final six games going into the all-star break, according to a person familiar with the situation.
Splitter has missed the past four games after experiencing soreness following last week’s game against the Heat. The Hawks reserve center will also miss Monday’s game against the Magic and Wednesday’s game against the Bulls. The Hawks decided to keep Splitter out of the lineup until after the lengthy break to get his hip right. On Monday, they decided to seek a second opinion for the slow-to-heal injury.
