Yesterday, ESPN’s Ian Begley reported that shooting guard Arron Afflalo and forward Derrick Williams declined their player options for the 2016-17 season in order to test the free agency market.
Afflalo averaged 12.8 points points and 3.7 rebounds last season for the New York Knicks. The 30-year-old will be heading into his ninth NBA season and will be looking for the perfect team to fit his game this summer. Could one of those teams be the Atlanta Hawks?
The Hawks have some quality shooting guards already in Kyle Korver and Tim Hardaway Jr. But Korver will be turning 36 next season and there remains questions marks around Hardaway Jr.
