Preview: Hawks wrap home preseason slate against Spurs

The Atlanta Hawks will complete a brief, two-game home preseason slate at Georgia Tech’s McCamish Pavilion on Wednesday evening. After a strong showing in the opener under the same roof, the Hawks will face off with the San Antonio Spurs in another tune-up for the regular season.

While there are plenty of story lines to monitor, the Hawks will be without four players in this spot. Dewayne Dedmon, Justin Anderson and Daniel Hamilton continue to recover from injury but, on Tuesday, the Hawks announced that John Collins (ankle soreness) will not play for the second consecutive game.

Collins left Friday’s game in Memphis at the halftime break and, while it is unclear how serious the ankle ailment is, the second-year big man will remain on the shelf for at least one night.
