Trae Young announced that he had to leave the USA Select Team due to a minor injury. The Hawks point guard has an eye infection, according to ESPN.
In a statement posted on social media Thursday, Young wrote: “It is with deep sadness that I have to leave USA Basketball Minicamp to deal with a minor injury. Although I look forward to seeing Coach (Gregg) Popovich and the Team bring home the Gold this summer, I feel it’s most important for me at this moment in my career to focus on my health and preparing for the NBA season with the Atlanta Hawks.
