Just a little bit earlier in the evening, the Atlanta Hawks reportedly acquired Tristan Thompson from the Boston Celtics for Kris Dunn, Bruno Fernando and a 2023 second-round pick. Now, apparently Thompson will instead be heading to the Sacramento Kings, with point guard Delon Wright heading to Atlanta. Now, ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski has made an amendment to his original report.
Wright is a veteran guard, who should slot directly into the backup point guard role behind Trae Young. Wright averaged 10 points, 3.6 assists and 3.9 rebounds between stops with the Kings and Detroit Pistons last season.
