Hawks reportedly set to hire Landry Fields as assistant general manager

In May 2019, Jeff Peterson left his role as Atlanta Hawks assistant general manager to take a similar role with the Brooklyn Nets. Since that, Hawks president of basketball operations Travis Schlenk has operated without anyone under that title in Atlanta’s front office but, on Wednesday evening, word broke from ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski that a familiar name will be heading to Atlanta as assistant general manager. Wojnarowski notes that former NBA player and current Austin Spurs general manager Landry Fields is reportedly joining the organization.

Atlanta is hiring San Antonio’s Landry Fields as an assistant GM, sources tell ESPN.
