The Hawks announced Wednesday night they have claimed former Minnesota guard Tyrone Wallace off waivers, filling their 15th roster spot.
Wallace (6-foot-5, 198), who was taken by the Jazz at No. 60 in the 2016 draft, was waived by the Timberwolves Monday. He played sparingly in three exhibition games with Minnesota but played in 92 games (starting 19) the past two seasons with the Clippers, averaging 5.5 points, 2.2 rebounds and 1.2 assists per game.
The Clippers had waived Wallace in July before the Timberwolves picked him up.
In four years at California, Wallace averaged 12.
