Danilo Gallinari ramping up activity, doubtful for MLK Day game

The injury bug has plagued the Atlanta Hawks throughout the early portion of the 2020-21 season, particularly with regard to the team’s offseason additions. Earlier this week, the Hawks provided an update on the progress of both Bogdan Bogdanovic and Kris Dunn, with information shared on the status of Danilo Gallinari on Saturday evening.

Two weeks after the Hawks indicated that an MRI on Gallinari confirmed a right ankle sprain with associated swelling and inflammation, Gallinari has now progressed to half-court individual workouts and will now be re-introduced to contact activity. He will be listed as doubtful for Monday’s MLK Day game against Minnesota, but he is inching toward a return.
