The Atlanta Hawks laid an egg on Thursday. There is no way around it with the way the Hawks performed in a home loss to the Memphis Grizzlies but, less than 48 hours later, Atlanta will have the opportunity to bounce back as the team welcomes the Portland Trail Blazers to Philips Arena.
Saturday’s game brings an unusual 6:00 pm ET tip-off time but this looks to be a favorable spot for the Hawks. Portland is just 30-37 on the season and the good folks at FiveThirty project Atlanta with a 62 percent chance to win. Still, the Hawks must show up in a big way on the defensive end to replicate the successful trip that occurred in Portland earlier this season.
