After taking part in two Summer Leagues in 2018, the Atlanta Hawks will limit their on-court action to the desert in 2019, joining 31 other squads at the MGM Resorts NBA Summer League in Las Vegas. The festivities will begin on July 5 and, ten days later on July 15, a Summer League champion will be crowned at the Thomas & Mack Center.
Along the way, there will be time to evaluate Atlanta’s young players but, in addition to that, the Las Vegas Summer League also has a format change when compared to previous iterations. For the second straight year, all 30 NBA teams will be in the mix but, in 2019, Team China and Team Croatia will join the festivities, putting together an 83-game competition.
