The Atlanta Hawks went into the 2017 Draft with the 19th, 41st, and 60th picks in the draft. With these selections, the franchise selected John Collins, Tyler Dorsey, and Alpha Kaba, three players who have the potential to be impactful not only down the line, but even as early as next season.

Collins of Wake Forest was the 19th selection in the draft, and was a double-double machine in his sophomore season, totalling 17 games with double-digit production in points and rebounds. In four games, Collins finished with nine rebounds, leaving him one shy of a double-double. he will get the call as the starting power forward for the Atlanta Hawks next season, as Paul Millsap departed to the Denver Nuggets.
