The Atlanta Hawks won a thrilling regulation contest 97-94 over the visiting Charlotte Hornets Friday night.
All five of Atlanta’s starters scored in double figues, with Kent Bazemore‘s 19 leading the way.
Atlanta’s balanced attack also included Paul Millsap‘s 18 points and 10 rebounds. Joining Bazemore and Millsap in double figures for the Hawks Friday night were Jeff Teague (14), Dennis Schroder (14) and Al Horford (18).
Third year point guard Dennis Schroder started for Atlanta in place of Kyle Korver. Korver sat out the second of back to back contests while undergoing ankle rehabilitation.
