It was a game that was over almost before it began. The Lakers jumped out to a double digit lead over the Atlanta Hawks in less than 4 minutes into the 1st quarter, and the lead swelled all the way to 25 at one point in the 1st period.
Both the offense and defense were atrocious early on, with both missed shots and a bevy of turnovers letting the Lakers get out and run against the Hawks’ shaky D. They turned the ball over 7 times leading to 16 fast break points the other way.
Allen Crabbe and Trae Young were able to start a small rally, going a 13-0 run to make things a little interesting.
