After not playing since the first exhibition game, Atlanta Hawks veteran big man Miles Plumlee is seemingly going to be out longer than initially expected with a right quad strain.

Plumlee was part of the return for Dwight Howard in the off-season trade with the Charlotte Hornets. Although it’s unknown what Plumlee’s role would be on the Hawks, expect to see more minutes for John Collins and Mike Muscala to open the season and it should be noted that 2-3 week timetable was announced as an estimate before re-evaluation.
