With training camp just around the corner for the Atlanta Hawks, a heated competition for the starting small-forward position is set to get underway.
Last year’s starter DeMarre Carroll bolted from Atlanta to Toronto via free-agency in the off-season. With Carroll’s defection, a gaping hole has been left in Atlanta’s lineup at the three spot.
To address this vexing issue, Atlanta acquired a couple of versatile wing players over the summer. These recent additions will no doubt compete for minutes at the three with a duo of returning players from last seasons 60 win team.
