The Atlanta Hawk’s season opening loss to the Detroit Pistons 106-94 Tuesday night looked almost identical to the two teams preseason finale encounter.
The major difference is that Atlanta was not resting it’s top seven players in this contest.
In front of a sold out Philips Arena, Atlanta dropped it’s first salvo of the 2015-2016 season to a team that trailed them by 28 games in the final standings just a season ago.
Atlanta started off slowly in the opening frame of the contest, trailing 20-10 halfway through the first, before going on a 15-5 run to tie things up at the end of the first quarter.
