3 Takeaways: Atlanta Hawks lackluster performance in loss to Magic

On Sunday night the Atlanta Hawks fell 124-108 to the Magic. Both teams were on the second night of a back-to-back set, so some sloppy play was expected. That being said, both teams actually did a great job of limiting turnovers, with the Magic having 8 and the Hawks 11.

The Atlanta Hawks went into the second quarter down by one point and then things got out of hand from that point on. Orlando won the second quarter 37-23 behind some unlikely efficient offense from players like Wes Iwundu and Jarrell Martin.

Atlanta Hawks head coach Lloyd Pierce called timeouts at the right moments to try to rally the troops, but the Hawks simply didn’t have it in them on Sunday night.
