The NFL notified Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady on Friday that it is fining him $11,139 for attempting to kick Atlanta Falcons' defensive lineman Grady Jarrett during Sunday's game, a source told ESPN's Adam Schefter.
The incident occurred when Jarrett was flagged for slinging Brady to the ground during Tampa Bay's 21-15 win over Atlanta. Brady tried to kick Jarrett as both players were getting up, but he didn't appear to make contact.
Fines for kicking are $11,139 for a first offense and $16,444 for a second.
When asked if he was aware Brady may have tried to kick Jarrett, Buccaneers head coach Todd Bowles told ESPN that he "didn't see any of it so I couldn't answer that question.
