On one hand, watching the New England Patriots lose to the Miami Dolphins would feel pretty sweet for a Falcons fan, given that this team has been on the wrong end of two deeply unfortunate losses in less than a calendar thanks to the official team of Dunkin’ Donuts.
On the other hand, the Falcons’ defining loss this season was probably to the Dolphins, a team that had absolutely no business beating Atlanta and did so anyways. If you reverse just that one single game, the Falcons are first in the NFC South right now and we’re worrying a lot more about how they might lose the division title than what they have to do just to get into the playoffs.
