Despite a sluggish offense, the Packers are thriving in the early going, riding a resurgent defense to a 3-0 record and a spot atop the NFC North, one of the league’s most competitive divisions. The Eagles, meanwhile, are a surprisingly anemic 1-2 and sitting back with the pack in the NFC East, which is currently being ruled by the rolling Dallas Cowboys.
The balance of the NFC isn’t exactly at stake here, but this is an interesting game for the future. If the Eagles lose this, they’re 1-3 and fading behind the Cowboys fast, and their division (minus Washington) might actually put up a fight with Daniel Jones at quarterback for the Giants.
