Nothing but despair left for the Falcons following a crushing defeat

As Matt Bryant missed a pivotal extra point, questions arose about Dan Quinn’s decision not to go for two. Why trust a defense that continues to give up big plays? Why not trust an offense that is firing on all cylinders against Arizona’s overmatched defense?

Quinn rarely goes against his methods of believing in his defense, which is why it wasn’t surprising to see him go for the tie. The next question consisted of not attempting an onside kick with less than two minutes remaining. With only two timeouts left, the Falcons were going to be put in a precarious position, even if they managed to stop Kliff Kingsbury’s offense.
