Matt Bosher returns to injured reserve after re-injuring groin, team signs Ryan Allen

Terrible news for Matt Bosher just a day before his expected return to the field after his stint on injured reserve. He will have spent all but a few games in 2019 on injured reserve, thanks to tweaking his groin during an early season warm-up.

Per the team, Bosher re-injured his groin during Friday’s practice, just five days after he was activated to the team’s 53-man roster. This most likely unceremoniously marks the end of his time with the Falcons. He signed a five-year, $12.65 million deal in 2019. With the team egregiously over the cap in 2020, the Falcons will be forced to get younger and cheaper at multiple positions.
