Falcons training camp is officially underway, with the first two days of practices in the books. Both of the initial practices were closed to the public, but the first open practice is taking place on Saturday at Flowery Branch. Fans, as well as several of our staff, will be flocking to Atlanta’s practice facility to get their first glimpse at the new roster and coaching staff under Arthur Smith and Terry Fontenot.
As someone who has quite a bit of experience watching football practices, I have often found the provided rosters and booklets a little lacking. They’ll work in a pinch, but they don’t work well for trying to quickly identify players during drills on the practice field.
