FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. -- Atlanta Falcons rookie first-round pick Takk McKinley is well aware that his hit on Chicago Bears wide receiver Kevin White sent White to injured reserve with a fractured shoulder blade.
"You don't go out there and try to injure people," McKinley said. "You just go out there and play angry; play aggressive. Injuries happen. I wasn't purposely trying to do it. And at the end of the day, it's either my guys or it's him."
McKinley, though limited to 14 snaps in his NFL debut, showed flashes of a guy willing to go all out to make the team better.
