On Wednesday afternoon, it was reported that the Atlanta Falcons were expected to re-sign tight end Luke Stocker who played for the team in 2019. In a likely corresponding move, the Falcons have officially waived tight end Carson Meier with a injury settlement.
That leaves one open spot on the Falcons roster again, by our count.
Meier played in only one game for the Falcons in 2019, recording no stats. He was on the practice squad mainly as insurance in case then tight end’s Austin Hooper or Luke Stocker went down for injury.
