The Atlanta Falcons announced Thursday that they’ve waived CB Deji Olatoye and promoted DT Joe Vellano from their practice squad.
Olatoye stands to make a base salary of $615,000 for the 2017 season before becoming a restricted free agent in 2018.
Olatoye, 25, originally signed on with the Ravens an undrafted free agent out of North Carolina A&T back in 2014. He later caught on with the Chiefs and Cowboys before the Falcons signed him to their practice squad at the start of last year and eventually called him up in November.
