On Monday night, after the dust has cleared in Week 7 for the rest of the NFL, Atlanta’s going to try to win another game. That’s all that the Falcons can do right now, and thankfully, taking it one game at a time is one thing this franchise has been really good at under Dan Quinn.
A win here doesn’t save the season—the Giants are 1-5, and the Falcons will still be under .500—but it will keep things on track. Atlanta’s just trying to tread water until they get healthier and get star linebacker Deion Jones back, and while they’ve not done a great job of it to this point, Week 6 showed what can happen if the defense can manage to nab a couple of turnovers and the offense stays clicking.
