FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. -- Arthur Smith didn’t care. Not in the slightest. Not Sunday after the Atlanta Falcons went over .500 for the first time since the end of the 2017 season. Not the day after, when he was asked about the benchmark again.

The third-year Falcons head coach was insistent on not making a big deal of his team getting to 1-0 and snapping a five-year streak of being .500 or worse, which until Sunday was the longest active run in the NFL.

“Don’t care,” Smith said. “I’m in the present. All I really care about right now is make sure I give you the answers you need to give you my real perspective and it’s on Green Bay.
