Falcons S Johnathan Cyprien heads to IR with one game for Atlanta under his belt

The Atlanta Falcons have not had the best injury luck in 2019, much as they did not have the best injury luck in 2020. They’ve lost first round rookie and vital offensive lineman Chris Lindstrom, lost Keanu Neal to injured reserve for the second straight year, now have to forge ahead without punter Matt Bosher, and have seen injuries both major and minor pile up around them.

The latest is so absurdly timed as to almost be unbelievable. Johanathan Cyprien, the veteran safety the Falcons traded for just over a week ago, is hitting injured reserve.
