Earlier this morning, we wrote about a few interesting free agent fits for the Falcons, should they free up enough money to pursue them. They certainly don’t need to do that right now to fill out their 90 man roster, because they just plugged the last available spot by claiming former Cowboys and Cardinals tackle William Sweet.
Per NFLTradeRumors.co, the 24-year-old former undrafted free agent was claimed by Atlanta earlier today, making him yet another competitor along the offensive line. The Falcons have already started stressing competition across the board, and with plenty of questions about their depth on the offensive line, they’re throwing a lot of young options out there and letting the dust settle.
