Atlanta Falcons Pro Bowl fullback Patrick DiMarco was back home in Orlando last weekend for his sister's bridal shower. He never imagined the deadliest mass shooting in United States history would take place in the same area a week later.
DiMarco, from the Altamonte Springs suburb located about 10 miles north of downtown Orlando, expressed his sympathy for the 50 people killed and others wounded after a gunman went on a rampage inside a gay nightclub. Here was DiMarco's original tweet:
