The Falcons got a steal in Grady Jarrett when they selected him in the fifth round of the 2015 draft. Now they’ll hold on to the talented defensive tackle for at least one more season after applying the franchise tag to Jarrett on March 4, 2019, one day ahead of the deadline.
Jarrett has been consistently productive for Atlanta. He dropped in the draft because at 6’0 and 305 pounds, he’s undersized for an NFL defensive tackle. But he’s made his size an asset in his style of play.
