Falcons OC Dirk Koetter expects Todd Gurley to get 15-25 touches per game in 2020

The 2019 Falcons failed to produce a 100-yard game for any running back for the first time since 2013. To remedy that, the Atlanta Falcons signed two-time All-Pro running back Todd Gurley.

At one time, Gurley was arguably the best running back in the NFL, carrying the Los Angeles Rams to Super Bowl LIII in 2019. That postseason however, we did witness the first flare up of arthritis in Gurley’s knee, as the Rams put him on a snap count through the rest of the playoffs. During the 2019 season, Gurley also had his touches reduced as he recorded the lowest carries per game average in his young NFL career with 14.
