If you expected the Atlanta Falcons get any compensation picks next year, well, sorry to be the bearer of bad news.
Atlanta rarely earns compensatory picks because they rarely have high value free agents leave and/or remain on the free agency sidelines. The net effect of that isn’t so bad if you’re reeling in players like Jessie Bates and Kirk Cousins, as the Falcons have done, but it does mean you’ve got to trade around to get extra draft selections. That may be impactful next year because the Falcons are expected to lose picks in the Great Kirk Cousins Investigation.
