Atlanta Falcons coach Dan Quinn always talks about versatility being an asset for any player. Well, newly signed wide receiver Garrett Scantling certainly is capable of do multiple things.
Scantling is a former decathlete at the University of Georgia. He announced signing a free-agent contract with the Falcons.

Now, there's no guarantee Scantling will make the roster, but it's an interesting story regardless.
Scantling was the 2013, 2015, and 2016 Southeastern Conference champion in the heptathlon, a first-team outdoor All-American in the decathlon (2014) and a first-team indoor All-American in the heptathlon in 2013, 2015, and 2016.
