The Atlanta Falcons announced four season-long captains for the 2019 season and one weekly captain. The season-long captains are quarterback Matt Ryan, wide receiver Julio Jones, safety Ricardo Allen and center Alex Mack.
Matt Ryan is one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL and has led the Falcons for many seasons, so he’s a no-brainer selection as a team captain. He was fortunate to learn from one of the best, tight end Tony Gonzalez who played a big part in teaching an already mature Matt Ryan.
