Former Atlanta Falcons running back Michael Turner, who holds the franchise record for 100-yard games (27), was one of the players invited back for last Sunday's final regular-season contest at the Georgia Dome and got to see saw Devonta Freeman perform up close.
Freeman, who had a 75-yard touchdown sprint in a 38-32 win over the rival New Orleans Saints, became the first Falcons running back since Turner to post back-to-back 1,000-yard seasons. Freeman finished with 1,079 yards on 227 carries after posting 1,056 on 265 carries in 2015.
Turner had 1,371 yards on 334 carries in 2010 and followed with 1,340 yards on 301 caries in 2011.
