Early in the season, it looked like we were headed for a two-horse race in the NFC South. The Atlanta Falcons and Carolina Panthers were both undefeated and rolling after five games, and it looked like both teams had come a long way after many struggles in 2014.
But then the Falcons just stopped winning, and the Panthers couldn’t stop winning. And they haven’t stopped. Their last defeat in the regular season was on November 30 2014. Since then, the Panthers have won 16 straight in the regular season.
Right now, the Falcons are 6-6 and clinging onto fading hopes of reaching the playoffs, while the Panthers have already secured their spot with an NFC South crown wrapped up.
