The deal, announced Saturday, will pay the 2018 NFL receiving yards leader $66 million over the next three years, making him the highest paid receiver in the league. The Atlanta Falcons wanted to make Julio the highest paid receiver in the league and this accomplishes that goal. More importantly this extension allows everyone to focus on making a Super Bowl run.
As Julio Jones enters his ninth season in the NFL, he is second on the Falcons all-time list in both receptions and yards. He is currently sits just 111 catches and 132 yards from surpassing Roddy White in both categories.
