Facing the defending Super Bowl champs on their home turf was expected to be a tough test, even without starting quarterback Carson Wentz. Philadelphia lived up to the hype, as their defense shined all night and the offense did just enough to knock off Atlanta. The game was very similar to the last time these two teams met, where the Falcons were denied four straight plays from inside the ten yard line. Philadelphia escaped with a 15-10 win in a defensive struggle, advancing them into the NFC Championship game.
Thursday’s game also saw both defenses shine, and Atlanta was once again denied inside the ten yard line to end the game.
