Two Yankee homers spoil SunTrust homecoming as Braves drop Spring finale, 5-1

The SunTrust homecoming could have gone better, but at least it’s all in the past now. Onward, to one more (intriguing) exhibition game, and then to Opening Day!

Back at their home ballpark for their final game of Grapefruit League action, the Braves were upended by the New York Yankees by a 5-1 score. The Yankees got the bulk of their runs courtesy of two two-run homers, one by Didi Gregorius in the first, and one by Giancarlo Stanton in the third. As a starting pitcher, you can sometimes get by when you allow walks, or when you allow homers.
