There was some speculation that entering Tuesday’s series opener against the Cincinnati Reds, that the Atlanta Braves would activate catcher Travis d’Arnaud from the injured list. While that didn’t happen Tuesday, it appears that Wednesday will be the day for d’Arnaud’s return barring any setbacks.
“He’s doing good, he’s healthy,” Brian Snitker said prior to Tuesday’s game. “He’s going to catch Ian tonight and then we’ll see how he is tomorrow.”
Snitker added that the team didn’t really have a firm plan for activating d’Arnaud and that it was more of a game-by-game thing depending on how he felt.
