Tigers Thwart Tomahawks, 10-6

Norris nuked, Sims slammed, offense occasionally offensive, Verlander victorious

Bud Norris was having a good Spring Training up to this point, but maybe not anymore. Of course, it's Spring Training, where one's fortunes and stats are only as good as their more recent outing, given the small sample. But, that small sample for Norris was hardly fortuitous as he was knocked around by the Tigers in today's tilt.

In previous Grapefruit League action, Norris had worked five innings and allowed just a single run. Things went south for him quickly in this one, though. In the very first inning, he allowed a line-drive double to Ian Kinsler and then threw to a ghost fielder (actually supposed to be second baseman Gordon Beckham, who missed a pickoff sign or something.
