1963 - Warren Spahn earns his 20th win of the season with a 3-2 victory against the Phillies. It is the 13th and final time Spahn will have 20 wins in a season in his career.

1967 - The Braves drop a 4-1 decision to the Phillies despite a brilliant relief effort by Dick Kelley who ties an NL record for relievers with six consecutive strikeouts.
