In one of the craziest games in Braves history, post-game fireworks shot off in the wee hours of the morning on July 5, 1985, waking many Atlanta neighborhood residents who thought it an invasion from the Soviets. Not only that, this game featured perhaps the most unlikely home run in MLB history.

The Braves and Mets were set to battle on July 4, 1985 in the opener of a four-game series with a fireworks show immediately thereafter.
