This Day in Braves History: September 20

1972 - The Braves score 13 runs in the second inning to defeat the Houston Astros 13-6 in front of only 2,062 fans at Atlanta Stadium.

2003 - Marcus Giles homers off of Brad Penny to give the Atlanta Braves six different players with at least 20 home runs tying the NL Record. Giles, Javy Lopez, Gary Sheffield, Andruw Jones, Chipper Jones and Vinny Castilla equal the mark of the 1965 Milwaukee Braves set by Eddie Matthews, Hank Aaron, Joe Torre, Felipe Alou, Mack Jones and Gene Oliver.
