1942 - Paul Waner records his 3,000th career hit but Boston falls to Pittsburgh 7-6 in 11 innings.

2016 - Julio Teheran tosses a one-hitter as the Braves beat the Mets 6-0 to complete a three-game sweep of the Mets at Citi Field. Michael Conforto’s single in the third inning is the only baserunner for New York. Freddie Freeman matches a career-high with four hits for Atlanta.
