This Day in Braves History: September 22

1997 - The Braves clinch their sixth straight division title as the Mets defeat the Marlins. Atlanta will defeat the Expos 3-2 later in the evening.

1998 - Eddie Perez’s solo homer is Atlanta’s 208th of the season breaking a franchise record. The Braves will finish with 215 homers.

2013 - The Braves clinch its first NL East title since 2005 after losses by the Nationals and Marlins along with a win over the Cubs.
